From childhood I have been interested in creating pictures and in my early twenties I studied at the Birmingham College of Art. This background enabled me to become a full time commercial artist in an advertising agency. Later I had a successful career in the printing industry with a special interest in the photogravure and offset lithographic colour printing processes.

        In 2002 I attended a Fine Arts course at Wiltshire College and am now a full time visual artist. My work has been exhibited in several venues in and around Salisbury since 2004 and I have accepted a number of Portrait commissions.

      My current favoured media are oil on canvas, which I always use for portrait work, and Pastel on paper to create atmospheric images from nature. I continuously experiment with new artistic approaches in my search to develop and embrace a wider range of subjects and images.
