Ray Brotherton now lives in Salisbury, after spending half a life time in the Army. He started studying fine art at Salisbury College to "find out about Art" and got sucked in to the HND course. He enjoyed the course so much that he actually did an extra year.

Ray tries to paint in a free flowing, colourful style, inspired primarily by his other great passion, 1920' & 30s jazz. In his spare time he plays the cornet with a local band
